old coffee and fungus roots

chronologically, it should be the other way around. my mother suggested herbal medicine to cure my hive problem. hopefully this works. the fungus is called eupatorium, but i'm not so convinced it's a fungus at all. the chinese seem to label things however they wish. anyway, it smells very soothing... i never thought anything could smell soothing. it doesn't taste very soothing though.

i really want to get my sleeping schedule back on track. it's almost 4 am and i'm wide awake. it might be the coffee, but there's no point in sleeping if i have to get up in 3 hours.

i'm listening to the mountain goats and kaki king - black pear tree. great song.
i'm drinking coffee that's been sitting in the coffee maker for a good 36 hours. tastes fantastic still.
i'm debating between watching a movie i've already seen and own knowing it will be in dvd quality or streaming a movie online that will probably consist of coughing and shadows from the audience.
i'm thinking about how sad it is for a balloon to get caught in a tree. here's a picture to match that depressing thought:

that pictures makes me want to cry a little. if pixar made a movie about a balloon that got stuck in a tree, we'd definitely cry. inanimate objects deserve our sympathies too. i remember a particular ikea commercial on tv where a lamp is stuck in the rain outside and it just stood there, faceless, in the rain. it might have been a target commercial. i love ikea and target.

i also have the biggest urge to watch the karate kid. i can't wait to see the movie 9. instead of watching dvds tonight, i think i'm going to head to brooklyn in a few and take some pictures and walk around before school this morning. it seems like a good idea in my head, but it's 33 degrees outside, with the wind, it's 23. and to think the arrival of spring means we can part with our winter coats.

peace and love
