the economy/people's livelihood are deteriorating

it's true. times are harsh and sometimes it's hard to muster up the motivation, and this transmission fails to find solace and leverage. anywho, it snowed today. er, it might still be snowing but i wouldn't know because i'm bundled under layers of clothes and blankets on my bed and in my basement. it's a lot colder down here, but i like it. it's supposed to snow for for the next couple of days. i really like snow. i really like winter as well. the cold is not so bad if it's not windy. jesus christ, i hate the wind. i'm going to scoop around and look for cheap winter boots when spring comes around. i like sales. i will be geared up for next winter. i also need a heavy winter coat. i think i missed out on fun winter activities (if they exist) this year. i think they exist. what do people do in the winter anyway? i'm also excited for spring. i like spring activities too. and i like grass. i don't like the sun, but i like it when it's hidden behind a tall building and its rays give warmth to beautiful people all around the world, well, not at the same time.

i now have two alarm clocks, thanks to genie. i love her sister's dog, akita. she's so cute. i woke up yesterday morning because she was licking my hand. then she jumped on the couch and started licking my arm, but i was still too sleepy to do anything. then this morning i woke up and she was sleeping next to me on the same couch :). what a qt.

here's a list of stuff that happened but i find it unjust to not talk about each and everyone of the items on the list in extended detail, and doing so would bore everyone, but not me of course, self-loving narcissists love it:

1. carly got arrested
2. i filed my taxes
3. went in for multiple job interviews
4. finally found a job, but there's a two week trial. i hope i do okay
5. it was my birthday
6. i ate birthday cake
7. on my birthday, carly and i had the greatest urge to buy instruments and we went to guitar center and i almost bought a new guitar and she almost bought a keyboard but we're both really broke and we were smart for once
8. sara's dad's girlfriend gave us a brand new keyboard. good thing we didn't buy one
9. sara found her clarinet
10. sara played her clarinet
11. i found my green beanie
12. i finished y the last man last week
13. i got the new volume of scott pilgrim and cried a little after i finished it
14. beat the shit out of my punching bag
15. finished 3 seasons of weeds

so hopefully this new job goes well. i want/need my crazy busy schedule back. i'm so lost without it. oh! i forgot. it's march! wow. time flies even when you're not doing anything. i finally transferred over music from my external hard drive to my laptop. after getting my old laptop stolen, i immediately started the reconstruction of my itunes library, but there were tons of music i forgot about. good thing i had it on my external. i was able to weave out all the music i don't listen to, and then i deleted all the music on my external and added all the stuff i had on my laptop to the external. now it's perfect :) i spent hours re-organizing the music. i'm very meticulous about my itunes library. it's very organized. very, very organized. it bothers me when it's not.

my room smells of cigarettes and beer. and the phantoms of the last few weeks are running around, bumping into each other and coercing the intangible dusk. hidden in corners, are the fears too afraid to face triumph or change. there's a peculiar feeling about basements; cold, dry air meandering about... and the idleness that surrounds me. well, other than that, i'm a bit hungover and really tired. so i think it's the perfect time for a nap.
